About the Author
Stephanie Cookson is a master Elementary school teacher with over 34 years of experience. Stephanie has accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge concerning children and how they learn. After retiring in 2023, Stephanie began to fulfill a lifelong goal of becoming a renown children's author.
Her first book for children introduces the intrepid character "Sammy". Her technical focus is on SEL tools and content, and Sammy is the vehicle to help children understand and cope with the myriad of emotions they experience every day and throughout their lives. Sammy's adventures will course through the many emotional states addressed by SEL programs giving teachers and parents a fun and personal tool to aid in increasing emotional maturity in their students.
